Though a little late for a post highlighting October’s employee of the month, at least I was able to get this completed before November’s lucky recipient!
Now, to justify my fashionably late status — Believe it or not, I have been out of the office more times than not this past month. Who would have thought!
From West Point to Phoenix to Chicago to Disney, all in one month.
I would have never pinned myself for enjoying consecutive flights out of the busy NYC airports, but the trips/experiences I have been able to be a part of make it well worth it.
My most memorable trip this month had to be to West Point (and not because I could drive), where the Thayer Hotel honored the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress spokesperson, Retired U.S. Army Brigadier General Rebecca Halstead, with a room dedication. Prior honorees include: General Douglas MacArthur, General Barry McCaffery and General Martin E. Dempsey. The day’s events included a VIP tour of West Point, followed by the hour-long reception, dedication ceremony and a tour of the dedicated room — what could be more spectacular?! As for the rest of my travels, they were also pretty great, considering I was a first-time visitor to all. To sum them up in one word, I would choose: productive.
All in all, November has been quite a month to remember. I have learned more than ever, met more people than I could have imagined and managed to keep up with all of my work. I am certainly looking forward to my upcoming trips…Vegas times two!
Oh yes, I almost forgot — I am so grateful to be selected employee of the month. The CPR team works harder than ever and it is great to be a part of it!
Enjoy your holidays!
