Foundation for Chiropractic Progress Honors William E. Morgan, D.C. with Donation to Arnold P. Gold Foundation

CARMICHAEL, Calif. – January 27, 2015 – The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about the value of chiropractic care, honors William E. Morgan, D.C., as a distinguished hero in health care with a donation to the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, a not-for-profit group that works alongside health care professionals to instill a culture of respect, dignity and compassion for patients and professionals.

“After careful consideration, we chose to recognize Dr. Morgan for his superior dedication to humanistic, patient-centered care,” says Kent S. Greenawalt, chairman, F4CP. “His strong work ethic and desire to put patients’ needs first sets a great precedent for other doctors of chiropractic and industry professionals to follow.”

Established in 1988 by Arnold Gold, MD, Sandra Gold, EdD, and their colleagues at the Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, the Gold Foundation strives to keep the care in health care. Its mission is accomplished when physicians build caring, trusting and collaborative relationships with patients that result in proper health care decisions, better patient adherence and reduced treatment costs.

An esteemed graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic-West, Dr. Morgan currently holds several professional appointments, including:

  • Doctor of Chiropractic, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center
  • Doctor of Chiropractic, U. S. Naval Academy football team
  • Faculty member, Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences
  • Member of the Board of Trustees, Palmer College of Chiropractic
  • Consultant to the White House Medical Unit and other executive health clinics in the National Capital Region providing care to national leaders and heroes.

Prior to pursuing a career in health care, Dr. Morgan served in the Naval Special Warfare Unit One, Marine Corps Recon, and in a Naval Mobile Dive and Salvage Unit.

Surprised and humbled to receive this acknowledgment, Dr. Morgan states, “My personal mission is ‘To touch heroes with the hands of a grateful nation.’ I feel that including the warmth and empathy of human touch should be a valued component of all patient care. The goal of providing patient-centered care includes respecting patients decisions and empowering them with options, options that include drug-free treatment alternatives. The donation made in my honor supports this ambition, and for that, I am extremely grateful. Thank you, F4CP!”
